Last weekend, New Vision Center showed up in full force to support the 50th Anniversary of the Special Olympics Arizona State Games—and what an unforgettable experience it was! Our amazing volunteers helped prepare meals for the athletes, escorted them to the awards station, assisted in presenting their medals, and most importantly, cheered them on as they gave their all in their events. The Special Olympics motto—“Let me win. But if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt.”—was alive in every moment we witnessed. We were deeply honored to be part of this milestone celebration and to witness the bravery, determination, and sheer joy of the athletes. Their smiles were contagious, and their enthusiasm uplifted all of us. It was especially inspiring to see the spirit of camaraderie among the teams and the way athletes supported one another, even across competition lines. A heartfelt thank you to everyone from NVC who volunteered and helped make these State Games such a resounding success. You truly made a difference—and walked away just as inspired as those you served!
